In the style of my favourite 10th Cen. Chinese funerary jars. A nice accent piece for the kitchen counter or mantel. Equally at home holding cookies or tea bags.
Hand thrown in our Mahone Bay studio using a local earthenware clay. Lines were incised into a white clay slip background, then the jar was fired. Various coloured transparent glazes were brushed on and the jar was fired a second time. The jar is 10” tall.
